I would have posted a Christmas writing sooner, buy my computer died. Being without one for a few days put me behind. These things happen. Life is not without challenges here on Earth; but Heaven awaits.
Like this story, my Christmas is also delayed because my husband worked on December 25th. Saving lives and healing bodies through the gifts given to him by our God is one thing that is a blessing to God, others and, of course, my family.
I recently told one of my granddaughters that there is no greater thing to do for others than to help heal their souls and bodies and spirits. This, of course, can be spiritually or physically, for even most Christians run to a doctor before even consulting The Great Physician. How sad! How wrong!
Anyway, another Christmas has come and gone and so has Jesus. Believe it or not (and if not, this is at your own peril!) Jesus is coming again. Christ came as a baby in the manger, born of a virgin. He grew in wisdom. He always was God and always will be. He is part of the Godhead: Father, Son, Spirit. One God is in Three Persons (believe it or not, again at your own peril if not!)
I hope your Christmas was Christ centered and celebrated. That is what Christmas is: the celebration of God coming down as an infant, growing, teaching and preaching His gospel. That is what Christmas is!
As for me, I never say “Happy Holidays!” That, my friends, could mean anything.
Please join me with boldness and without compromise:
JESUS IS LORD!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS MOST JOYOUS JOY STORY:
Colossians 2:6-9
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Revelation 17:14
They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
