AMERICA’S CHRISTIANS are no more loved by God than other Christians. America’s Christians also undergo persecution, seemingly being mocked… We Christians born and bred in America might have to choose between a certain type of employment or putting God first in our lives. Breathe. Take a breath! Now is a good time to meditate on these two specific truths:
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
Matthew 16:26
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
It truly is simple! Just do this daily:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33
The Bible even speaks of keeping the love of God before your nuclear family; be it father, mother, husband, wife, brother, sister — and yes, even our own children whom we would willingly die for.
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:37
When you truly love God first and foremost life is not only so much easier, it is… Oh! SO much better!
Selah!
America’s Christians have no special privilege because they live in this privileged and very blessed land. God is no respecter of persons and is Father equally to all who have been born again, born from above. Do you honestly think we Americans have suffered as any of the Apostles did? Have you ever read of the heroic martyrs for the faith?
Are you so dull? (Do not take offense at that!) Like me, you should love all about God, which includes His rebukes! Jesus loved to rebuke Peter! Why? It helped Peter grow… He did it more than once, don’t you know? In the instance of the Scriptures below Peter wanted more help. He wanted Jesus to explain a parable. Perhaps, Peter just needed to listen more closely. So many do!
Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.” Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?” He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.” “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
Matthew 15:10-20
Jesus challenged Peter! “Are you still so dull?” I love it! Brethren: we are called to go from milk to meat! So many people want everything done for them! Hence, this is why my home state of Minnesota has such high taxes: too many people collecting money from those who work. Careful! I am speaking of those can work — should work! (My own father was not able to work. When I was a child he became physically and mentally disabled. I know the necessities of true welfare.) I speak of those who know how to immorally receive income they should not. Have you ever not heard of those who feign a handicap? I have. Have you ever known of someone who refuses healing? I have!
God tells us what to choose, how to live. He commands us! Salvation includes all good things: forgiveness, healing, safety, redemption. We are free from the curse of the Law. We are free from every curse. Jesus took it! Therefore, I want no part of it! Why should we not honor His sacrifice!?
We are to hate what our First Love hates! We are to love what our First Love loves!
COME ON! JOIN ME!
Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
Psalm 45:6-7
Selah.
We are to love God first and foremost. We are to fight the good fight. We are to hate what God hates. I love that phrase no-brainer. But think about it:
Is it our brain we are using when choosing that narrow path? No my friends, my brothers and sisters: no, my enemies of the cross. We are not to choose what’s right or wrong through the realm of the brain, through natural logic. Believe it, we are to choose through the Spirit and our spirit, interacting with Him.
When deciding whether or not one should bake a cake for a person that has a meaning God calls an abomination God will always lead us to the right path. When the devil tempts you to politely agree with a person something is harmless, such as an ungodly sexual lifestyle, be certain you truly love that deceived person to this point: be willing to tell him or her you cannot agree. God comes first. And then, love yourself, love your neighbor enough not to be a cohort to sin with them, as a cowardly companion, not loving them enough to speak, live and breathe out truth…
YES: TODAY CHRISTIANS ARE BEING HARASSED.
BIG DEAL! Truly this IS easy to say for those who do not love their lives so much as to shrink from death…
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 12:11
Let us not be cowards, compromisers, or consummate liars! Devil be damned! He will be! Again, we don’t want to love our physical lives so much that we turn away from the living God!
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
Matthew 16:26
MY BELOVED: Remember, it is God who provides all our needs according to His riches in glory:
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
IN GLORY: KEY! Anything that does not glorify God AND benefit mankind is wrong. Wrong! WRong!! WRONG!!!
I beseech you, my beloved Church, do not fear man! Fear God and fear God alone!
I can assure you, you do not want your God, your King, your Lord, your Savior to ever convict you of this!
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.
Revelation 2:4

Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
