CULTURAL SENSITIVITY

 

 

IN THIS DAY AND AGE WE HEAR A LOT ABOUT cultural sensitivity as if we have to get along with everyone; as if we have to approve of everybody’s lifestyle.

God doesn’t…

First of all, why then is there a Heaven and a Hell?

 

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:21-23

 

Who said this? Jesus said this! Jesus Christ tells us not everyone will enter the kingdom of heaven… Jesus Christ tells us He will say to many on that day: “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Jesus Christ said that. Jesus Christ says this! His word is alive and active. He is the beginning and the end…

 

And there will be an end for everyone. Some will enter His kingdom and to them He will say to these: “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

 

 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Matthew 24:23

 

YOU WANT TO TALK CULTURAL SENSITIVITY? Here it is in a nutshell. Here is it with faith as small as a mustard seed:

 

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

 

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  If you really know me, you will know^[ my Father as well.
John 14:6

 

ONE MORE THING: THERE IS NO ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE…

 

 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
