“HAPPY EASTER!”
“MERRY CHRISTMAS! HE HAS RISEN! DON’T FORGET THE REST OF THE STORY!”
Easter has always been my favorite holiday… Sad to say, when I tell some people, they will look at quizzically and I know they are wondering (but will not speak it), “Why?”
They should know, you should know, all you should. And we all should know, and not only know, but embrace these truths now:
Luke 24:1-7
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”
Philippians 2:9-11
For this reason also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
EASTER is my favorite holiday because the tomb is empty! Jesus fulfilled the destiny He was always willing to follow! God never had a ‘Plan B’! Christ willingly laid down His life for the entire world! And only those who love and receive truth (to wit: the truth being the God of all) will be saved. Saved, meaning: healed, rescued, delivered, prosperous as they walk, live, and breathe for Him in His presence.
Selah.
This Easter season the LORD God Almighty gave me this marvelous revelation! When someone says to me, “Merry Christmas!” in the winter season, from now on until Heaven, I in turn will always say, “He has risen! Don’t forget the rest of the story!” Now I know those who are Christians should immediately, I said immediately, receive the truth that Jesus Christ is not seasonal: He is eternal!
Selah.
They should not just be pleased with this holy and truthful declaration; they should embrace it and proclaim it!
Selah.
“Merry Christmas!
He has risen! Don’t forget the rest of the story!”
Jesus Christ cannot be put in a box. He cannot be relegated to one season alone. Jesus is the reason for our very existence, our breathe and death: and, our new birth if we overcome Satan, the world, and our very own flesh!
From now on I will always say at Easter, my very favorite holiday, as well as “Happy Easter!” – “Merry Christmas! He has risen! Don’t forget the rest of the story!”
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Luke 24:1-7

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 1 John 2:1-6
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
Revelation 21:6-8
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
NOTE: Israel (I’m speaking of spiritual Israel) that is, those who follow their Abrahamic Covenant, are right with God and are His saints.
PLEASE READ: Hebrews 11 of the saints in the Old Testament.
Genesis 17:19-21
Then God said, “Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation. But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.”
Romans 11:25-27
I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this wayall Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion;he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this ismy covenant with themwhen I take away their sins.”
ISRAEL: I honor you daily and pray this with you:
Deuteronomy 6:4-8
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
