If you want to cut to the chase go down to *
My dryer was on the fritz… I’ve had to dry clothes in other ways before. No biggie.
It was the end of the summer, 2023. I’d chosen for the most part to hang things up in the rec room and when they’re dry, they’re dry. Usually it takes a day and a half to two. (Good thing we’ve got plenty of underwear!) Smile!!
I hung up doggie blankets outside. I also put out bed sheets and pillow cases and my cleaning rags; they look terrible but I love them. I love clean!
Pewter’s kitchen rug (long and heavy) was a planned challenge. She loves it coming out warm, but like I tell her and Tina, “Mick Jagger!” (You can’t always get what you want…
BUT HANG ON GUYS:
here comes my “HELP FOR THE HUSBAND” story! Along with doggie blankets, I also hung out an orange craft bag!
Big deal!? Yes!!!
At that time, again I told Duane how much I love it and that I’ve had it now a long time! And I always remember he surprised me with it!
Selah.
Duane gave it to me on the spur of the moment, thousands of moments ago! You see, one day he came home from work and surprised me with this bag! I love surprises! And I love gifts! (I am childlike; not childish!)
Selah.
Now men, normally I’m not a big fan of orange (or yellow.) I’m much more a blue, pink, and purple lover… But God makes beautiful colors! It’s got a real neat design. This bag is cushy padding which in itself is a design. And then it’s got a beautiful pattern It has multiple colors: orange, dark orange, red, green, turquoise, and I believe, more! It’s gorgeous!
*Here’s the absolute good word for you from me…
And remember: Duane and I met on a blind date. Got married in September, 1979! (To each other!) Do you think I’m worth taking advice from?! God and I and all honest people hate divorce…
NOTE: It’s not sin; but it is mournful.
My Sweet Heart of forty-four years surprised me with this long ago. Duane knows I love to crochet. And he saw a pretty craft bag, remembered me / thought of me and gave it…
to me!
Go and do the same! And watch your wife light up!!
And listen to her tell her family and friends!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
