A WHAT?….

A humbug! In my mind I think of one of my very favorite Christmas shows.

 

NOTE:
When I watch Christmas movies, when I watch anything with a Christian theme, I must always in my mind, heart, and soul justify it with the Bible. I’ve yet to see any Christmas movie that aligns totally with the Bible. An example for one: angels.

So I once again I adjure you, as you are enjoying a fun and entertaining show, be like me, be like the godly Bereans in the Bible: make certain you are not taken off track of biblical truth!

Moving on…

I’ve known, lived with and by, worked with, played with, and even worshipped with humbugs. Sad but true!

Let me tell you again what Christmas is!

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus Christ: His birth; the reason He came; the reason He died; the resurrection; and the undeniable truth that He now sits at the right hand of the Father.

I have grown in Christ Jesus each and every year; this is a lifelong journey of pleasure, joy, love, peace, prosperity, and yes of course; troubles…

I’m to the point that anyone with these words to me, “Merry Christmas!”  will be challenged if I know they hate God, if I know they don’t want Him…

Anyone!

Plus, God has given me this good word when anyone says to me, “Merry Christmas!” I will respond with, “He has risen!”  I will get a good revelation of where they are in Christ, if they balk, don’t understand, or get angry. Good for me! I have challenged the hypocrite! God gave me this.

Those who hate God, who don’t receive the Bible, who want nothing to do with Him are humbugs! Right along with those who love people more than Him, and don’t want to hurt people’s feelings instead of uplifting God first, are not in my kingdom. That kingdom, beloved, is the only one that allows us to live in His presence and be His children now and in Heaven.

There will be no peace on Earth until the Prince of Peace is loved and worshipped by all in His sight, and those who reject Him are cast out of His presence.

Humbugs come in many forms. There are those who celebrate and bow to false gods. This will come to an end:

 

Philippians 2:9-1l (AMP)
For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.

 

Wicked humbugs stay in a false religion because they honor their parents more than God (or afraid of them.) I’ve known many of these type. I remember a man who lit up a room. Women would always notice his arrival. I, myself, tremendously loved speaking with him. My husband could see the seemingly impressive and wonderful character of this man. And yet I knew of this precious man’s beliefs: and they were first and foremost honoring his mother, not God. This is not wonderful. This is not right. This is not holy:

 

Matthew 22:35-40
One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

 

Another type of humbug? I knew of a man whose wife had died, his children grown and gone…  He served at my church. He was very visible!  And what did he do at Christmas? He ‘celebrated’ Jesus birthday with family members whom he had no idea – not a clue – whether or not they were Christians! Where were the prayers?

I tried to have a connection myself with a family member that I was not involved with for years. Naturally, the first thing I wanted him to know was Jesus. He was rejected. I kept trying and praying: and, I would not allow him to say “Merry Christmas!”  to me. In explaining to him why he tried to impress upon me that “It’s also…”  I, being faithful to God, rejected this lie…

I think you’ve gotten my point.

False worship for any reason disgusts our holy God! And He is everybody’s God: many just don’t want Him to be…  Their loss, their excruciating loss! Pray for their repentance and don’t be a humbug about it! Care deeply for their relationship with God to be as their Father, their Lord, their Savior, their Holy Spirit.

Pray for them!
And don’t have a humbug (aka: fake) Christmas!

TO BECOME A CHILD OF GOD:

Dear God,

I surrender to you now, right now. I am done in trying to invent a working lifestyle without you. I humble myself and call out to You. I’m done with lying, with pretending, and explaining away ungodliness…

 

Romans 1:18-21
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.  For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

 

God in Heaven,
I come to You in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus. I have sinned. I now believe and know that Jesus is fully God, fully Man. He lived a sinless life and took all of my sickness and infirmities in His body. He died on the cross for my sins. I believe and know that He was raised from the dead so I might be saved from Hell and have eternal life in Your Kingdom with you forevermore.

Jesus, I ask you to be my only Lord and Savior. Please forgive me of my sins and wash them away with Your holy blood; never to be remembered again. Please take my sickness or any health issue I have by the stripes You endured for all mankind…

I will now strive to live my life for You to my best ability and with the help of You, Holy Spirit, I strive to seek You, study You and worship You all the days of my life, which are forever, amen!

I denounce Satan and his kingdom now and forevermore!

I also ask to be baptized in You, Holy Spirit, with the evidence of this by praying in other tongues, my heavenly language.

(To receive your heavenly language – take it by faith – just as you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Simply start speaking syllables – do not say anything in your known language/s. It WILL come – just believe. Satan will tell you it is false – never listen to the father of lies. Pray in tongues every day!)

Thank You, God, for forgiving me, cleansing me, healing me in every way, staying with me and praying with me.
