WHEN YOU KNOW YOU’RE RIGHT!
YOU ARE NEVER WRONG WHEN YOU ARE CORRECTLY USING GOD’S WORD as your weapon of war…
In experiences throughout my life there are times when I refused to compromise, say, “I’m sorry!” or change anything I have said… Not when I’m using the Word of God and using it correctly!
Selah.
EXAMPLE #1:
If someone tells a Bible study group to be like Cain… you declare: “That is ridiculous!” Be like the first murderer in the Bible? Seriously? What does God say about how we should view Cain, who is NOT our brother!?
Look:
1 John 3:12
Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.
Do not be silent! Do not be a coward: put God’s Word first… He is supposed to be your first love!
Furthermore:
Jude 1:10-13
Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them. Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion. These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
Did you know the word polite is not found in the Bible? Test me. Being polite can be attributed to a specific cultural situation: and you know how different they are! Society is not the leader. Kings and presidents and all and every government official has to come in line with the Kingdom and the King of kings to be correct…
Some may say John the Baptist was crude (which is also a lack of politeness) when he said:
Luke 3:7
John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
Should this be hard to hear? No! John the Baptist didn’t deal lightly with sin, and neither should we. His words were and are passionate, agape love for God and all of mankind, including sinners! John heard from his and your God (whether you love Him – or not!) challenging all within the sound of his voice to repent (a highly unused word in this, the year of our LORD, 2019!)
Luke 3:8
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
Again:
This John ardently and aggressively proclaims the coming of the Kingdom’s Messiah: be ready, for the ax is already at the root of the trees
Luke 3:9
The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
YES: HELL IS REAL…
John the Baptist, like all of our biblical heroes warn us and give us the answer:
Luke 3:15-18
The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah. John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” And with many other words John exhorted the people and proclaimed the good news to them.
Take no counsel, have no fellowship with those who claim Christ yet deny the teachings of His messengers, or of He, Himself!
Selah.
As Pastor John Hagee speaks of cotton candy preachers, so do I: Have nothing to do with them. And, have nothing to do with false believers in any walk of life:
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
EXAMPLE #2:
If you choose to share a past sin (which is forgiven and forgotten by God — so you should too!) such as having an abortion, aiding in an abortion, getting drunk, sleeping around —- any sin at all EXCEPT the unpardonable sin and someone says to you: “That must haunt you!” your immediate reaction should be thus:
“No! My sins are forgiven and forgotten by Christ, my Redeemer”!
Don’t let anyone bag you down! As you grow in Christ, don’t bring up your past bad. That dishonors God: His Son took them, not covering them, but washing you clean! Amen and amen!
Hear God speaking to Israel (and the Church is Abraham’s seed):
Isaiah 43:25
“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.
Beloved: don’t back down! Don’t give in! Be willing to let anything or anyone go if that what it takes to keep God as your first love:
Matthew 10:34-39
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
There are far too many people who just want to get along with everyone: not possible as a child of God. There are far too many who will put their loved ones (whom God gave them, mind you) before Him who created them! There are far too many cowards in this world. We Christians are to fight the good fight: and that is what will help any who are genuinely loving truth!
Never back down when you know you’re right!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
