WHAT PRICE?   THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

CHRIST JESUS PAID FOR YOU!
Christ came and died once for all…  and those whose name are written in The Lamb’s Book of Life couldn’t be more famous! Seriously? Yes! When the God of all knows your name and puts it in The Lamb’s Book of Life: you are His Child! And you are famous (not that that is all that!)

Hebrews 10:8-14
First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Truly, Beloved, Christ died for all men of all time: but be warned, you have to accept His gift of love to apply it!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

So many people pay so much attention to this Scripture, very possibly the widest known and best loved of all. However, how can you give true credence to it if you don’t also embrace this truth; not part of it, not most of it, all of it:  shall not perish...   Shall not perish, but have eternal life. A gift must be accepted and opened. In Bible terms that would be:

James 2:14-19
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Have you ever seen and heard a drunken man making excuses for his sin? Did you observe a sneer from a ‘Christian’ woman after another younger, prettier one walks away? Did you ever hear of a ‘pastor’ telling someone he is going to Hell over a sin which does not lead to death? I have to all. Look around and observe: all that glitters is not gold and all that claim Christ are not honest and not honestly Christians. We must walk the walk and talk the talk with repentance and truth. This dispensation of grace is coming to a close.

Those who thank God for His greatest gift, Jesus and apply His blood, seeking holiness, have no fear of death. Did Paul? Did Judas? Do you?

Does His favor rest on you? Is your name in The Lamb’s Book of Life? Will it stay there?

Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

At this Christmas season don’t say, “Happy Holidays!”  Make a true statement that can reach the lost, heal the helpless, encourage the unbelieving sinners, declare this; “MERRY CHRISTMAS!”  Be true, be real, be certain your name is written in The Lamb’s Book of Life! Friendship with the world is not worth it being blotted out!

Revelation 21:22-27
I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.  The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.  On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.  The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.  Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
