Galatians 3:7-14
Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
BATTLING CANCER IS…
STUPID!
SOUND HARSH? It’s not.
Selah.
If you seek, you find: Jesus wants you to.
I thank God I didn’t die before I chose Christ Jesus. Had I died in my twenties I would have justifiably gone straight to Hell; and we are supposed to seek, find Christ, love God, reverence Him, and study, study, study…
One of the most important things we need to know and cling to is what salvation is. Born again is a topic that has been made fun of; shied away from. That’s stupid; that’s wrong. When a person really wants to live for God he/she must confess that he’s done evil and needs to be forgiven. Duh! Everyone has: save One, the Christ, the Son of the living God. Duh! When a person decides to bend his knee to God, to become justified, sanctified; he is born again, born from above as he confesses He needs the true and living God: Father, Son and Spirit. At that time, actually that person’s old man has died and he has put on Christ, becoming a new creation now being a perfect spirit.
NOTE: for a more complete teaching on salvation you can go to my article You Must Be Born Again. Just type in ‘born again’ on the search site. But let me give you the essential of salvation, what you need to do right now in case you die before you finish the rest of this article: seriously!
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”
Romans 10:9-13
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1 John 5:12-13
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
BATTLING CANCER IS STUPID!
NOTE: under this category of battling cancer I also want to address every curse that Christ has redeemed us from. Those who believe, act and continue to hold unto salvation while denying curses having any right to be in him, on him, through him, will reap the rewards of the blessings from the blood of the Lamb shed for us all.
Selah.
Christ shed His blood in seven places, taking authority over every curse. Curses of diseases, infirmities, emotional failures, sins, any type of lack such as poverty. Christ Jesus paid all of it, cancelling the debt! He, Himself, said: “It is finished.” It is! Believe or suffer or perish. Salvation is a free will choice. God did not create puppets.
Salvation is a word not fully understood even by many Christian people. That is exactly why you will hear uninformed, misinformed, ignorant Christians (or at least they claim to be Christians) say things like this: “I’m battling cancer.” In the meantime with of all the horrors you can see on them, they are getting attention not only from many kindhearted, well-meaning, but also from uninformed, misinformed, or ignorant family members, friends and others. Some people start to treat them more tenderly than before; doing things for them that they would not do for a healthy man. They may receive disability monies taken from people who can work. Let me tell you this also, (another harsh sounding word, but again; it is not) many people who can work —- don’t. Name the president of the United States who sat in a wheelchair!
One kind truth of a person who is suffering with any kind of malady is this: Don’t do for them what they can do for themselves. Don’t demean them. And above all: do not tell them it is hopeless. Do not let them claim: “There’s nothing can be done.”
Selah.
Herewith is the biblical definition of salvation:
The Greek word σωτηρία can be sounded out in English as: so-ta-re’-ä. This is the Koine biblical Greek word for salvation. Salvation includes deliverance, safety, healing, preservation.
Christ offers salvation to all people. He, Himself, took every curse so you don’t have to. The wages of sin is death. Christ died for you. Don’t lie. You are healed:
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
Jesus did not die after you have been afflicted with manifestations of cancer. He took those vicious wounds over two thousand years ago. Believe it or not. Don’t be dumb.
NOW: let’s declare why we can’t battle cancer…
Beloved, you cannot breathe without God. He created you, planned you and invited you into His kingdom. Jesus came through Mary, a virgin at that time, and lived a sinless life, tempted in every way; qualifying Him to be the Lamb of God:
John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
In God we live and move and have our being! Everyone, including those who hate, ignore or never take time for God, is planned, created and fashioned by Him for His glory! And He fights your battles and takes them if you let Him!
Selah!
MORE EXCITEMENT!
As you chose willingly to become a child of God, denouncing Satan’s hold on you, God became your Father in Heaven. Jesus, also God, became your only Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit, also God, became your comforter and counselor.
THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD!
1 Samuel 17:45-47
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
2 Chronicles 20:15
He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
Zechariah 14:1-3
A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls. I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle.
Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY
Luke 10:9
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
John 3:3
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
John 6:44-47
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life
Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
2 Peter 3:15-18
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 16:7-13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.
Romans 8:26-27
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
1 John 2:1
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
1 Corinthians 15:56-57
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:10-20
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Colossians 2:13-15
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
