WHAT HISTORY? BAD HISTORY!
Whose history?
Why?
Yours… when you repent and are in Christ!
IN DAYS PAST I sometimes thought: “I should have been a mom in the 1950’s…” Why? Because my life plan (before I was a child of God) was to work as a secretary, (now called an administrative assistant) live alone for a while before I got married, have a small dog, a car and everything, but everything, my way.
Can’t you just tell I was without Christ back then?
Later than I should have, I started calling out to God. When I became a Christian I was a very slow starter. My then fiancé led me to the Lord and I’ll never forget saying: “What do I do now?” He actually replied: “Nothing.” God is so patient with me; always has been. Don’t you think I should have thought: “We need to start going to church.” No. I wasn’t that bright…
Doesn’t this teaching give you who are not as slow encouragement and hope? Now God has had me preaching in prisons, leading men to Christ, baptizing them in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of praying in tongues, writing books, having this website and never, ever again, feeling embarrassed! I’ve come a long way! Praise God!
I don’t hesitate for a moment to put God’s will before any human being. He has given me offers not everyone gets. He asked me several years ago verbatim: “Are you willing to miss The Marriage Supper of the Lamb for one soul?” Believe it or not: I don’t lie. And I am willing! It would be a privilege. My physical body is temporal and I will live eventually in Heaven forever in my glorified body; in the meantime one man, one woman, one teenager’s soul is far more important than my life on Earth:
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
This might be a good thing for you: read Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. Satan hates the fact that there are still men and women of God who are willing to be martyred, willing to love the brethren, willing to help sinners by giving their own lives willingly for Christ’s gospel.
Selah.
And as I continue to grow in Christ (we are all supposed to) I have come to know this: God has placed us all in a specific time throughout all these centuries and in a specific place:
Acts 17:26
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
And why does He say he marked out our appointed times in history? Here is the answer:
Acts 17:27-28
God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
Remember, beloved, not all men are children of God. You and I and they all have to choose to put on Christ. We all can do nothing without Him; not even breathe. Believe or not – your choice.
The good Lord above made each and every person for His pleasure; for His glory and that is what we are commanded to do. This is not a suggestion…
Selah.
Who knew some people would be so evil as to hate God? He did.
John 15:18-23
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father as well.
And so, I had to repent thinking I was created, born and placed in a time I didn’t want to be. The actions of God are without repentance; He is not to be questioned. What I have done through Christ who strengthens me is a blessing from God, for God, for me and for those involved.
Selah.
The world is fallen. We live our daily lives always seeing and / or hearing sin. I will be so glad when I forget and never hear swearing, never see drunkards, drug addicts. I’ll be so thankful that those who are my brethren love me and say and really mean it! I will be so thankful when no bad thought, no vain imagination, has to be cast down: I won’t have them.
But as for this time on Earth, I am holy, dearly loved, forgiven, sins wiped out and forgotten by my Father! I am clean! I am a child of God and no one can take His love away from me – but me – and I won’t do it! He is holy, holy, holy: perfect in all His ways.
My Father, Lord and Savior, Comforter, is Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Ancient of Days, God on High, coming King, Son of Man, Son of God, the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, the Lord God Almighty, Jehovah, the Good Shepherd, I AM.
Honor Him and let Him eradicate your bad history, I beg you!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Psalm 103:7-12
He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Isaiah 1:18-20
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. “For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Isaiah 43:25
“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.
Revelation 2:17
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
