When I was a young girl my mom’s Aunt Minnie came to live with us. I have no idea why and I didn’t know if it was going to be permanent: and, I didn’t like it. (Please remember: I wasn’t being raised to love God.)
I thought she probably came so my mom got some more money. My three brothers were in one huge bedroom. Being the only girl, I had my own. I don’t remember when my mom stopped sleeping with my dad. He had been cursed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was in the first grade.
So, no, I wasn’t happy that my Great Aunt Minnie came to live with us. Truly it was so long ago that I don’t remember where she slept. Probably on the couch. There were times I shared my bedroom with my mother. I had twin beds and I didn’t like sharing with her. That is not wrong: a daughter is not supposed to have her mom share a bedroom.
We were under a curse.
Now that I am sixty-four, lately I’ve been thinking about my Great Aunt Minnie. When I knew here she was older (I don’t know how old she was.) She was taller than my mom by far, she had irony gray hair, glasses, big blue eyes and she didn’t do much.
Aunt Minnie would get up everyday and go around the living room saying, “And how’s my little Hazel today?” (our dog) How’s my little Paco?” (our bird.) and whatever other animals we had. Then she would sit down on the couch, talk, watch the television… not doing much at all.
She was my blood. I don’t even know what side of the family she was from. But Aunt Minnie was my family and I was never, ever mean to her. It was not wrong for me to not want her to live with us; life was really rough anyway.
I remember going to her apartment (before or after, I do not know) and meeting her husband, Adolf. I think it was after… I never will forget when I met him, the first thing I thought of was Adolph Hitler and how I would hate to have a name similar to him. But Uncle Adolph was sweet.
As all this time has gone by I like to believe Aunt Minnie is in Heaven as, in fact, is where I want everyone to be. I want only what God wants and He certainly didn’t want anyone to be so evil, so godless, so arrogant as to choose Hell over Him!
Selah.
So, I remember the little I knew about Great Aunt Minnie and I am grateful I was never cruel or bitter to this older lady. She was nice and I do believe, without knowing, she is with Jesus Christ.
I am so thankful when I meditate on being gathered to my people and living forever only with those who love our Father! I have to come to asking Him on a regular basis to say hello, and I love you and will see you soon, to all of my family in Heaven: and that is everyone who is there. I have explained to my Father (not that I have to, of course) that even though I don’t know if most of them are with Him or not, I am going to believe they are. That way, I can remember them with agape love and be excited that I should see them again.
Please, of please: join me and Great Aunt Minnie in Heaven!
Psalm 150
Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Revelation 3:19-20
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
God in Heaven,
I come to You in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus. I have sinned. I believe and know that Jesus is God. He lived a sinless life, took all my sickness and infirmities and died on the cross for my sins. I believe and know that He was raised from the dead so I might be saved and have eternal life in Your Kingdom.
Jesus, I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me of my sins and wash them away with Your holy blood – never to be remembered again.
I will now strive to live my life for You to my best ability and with the help of You, Holy Spirit. I strive to seek You, study You and worship You all the days of my life, which are forever, amen!
I denounce Satan and his kingdom now and forevermore!
I also ask to be baptized in You, Holy Spirit, with the evidence of this by praying in other tongues, my heavenly language. (To receive your heavenly language – take it by faith – just as you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Simply start speaking syllables – do not say anything in your known language/s. It WILL come – just believe. Satan will tell you it is false – never listen to the father of lies. Pray in tongues every day!)
Thank You, God, for forgiving me, cleansing me, staying with me and praying with me.
In Jesus name, I pray this, amen.
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS MOST JOYOUS PRAYER:
Ephesians 2:8-9
or it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Acts 2:4
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
1 Corinthians 14:2
For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.
DO NOT BE DECEIVED!
YOU MUST CONTINUE YOUR RELATIONSHIP AS A CHILD OF GOD!
LIVE THIS WAY:
2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Hebrews 3:14
We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
Revelation 3:5
The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
