IS THERE A HERO IN THE HOUSE?
Last night my family came over for my daughter-in-law’s birthday. As always, there was lot of talk about God and His ways, current events and solutions. The subject of George Floyd came up. I certainly don’t know much about his character; but I do know he was murdered. Beloved, I pray that you truly understand the difference between killing and murdering… Killing is justified in the sight of God: murder never is and must be repented of.
As we spoke about the man who murdered him, one of us brought up how others should have helped George. There he lay dying with I don’t know how many people standing there, watching, knowing… I said from the beginning: “Why didn’t someone pull off this false peace / police officer from George!?” I was told someone tried but he was stopped by other police officers.
Here is a crucial lesson: the man wearing the police uniform was not a police / peace officer. He was, in fact, a murderer. Justice will prevail in Heaven – and hopefully – here on Earth.
But my focus on this issue is this: someone could have stopped this murderer. If one failed because of other bad cops, more should have come. Someone – everyone godly – should have been willing to go to prison or jail to stop a murder!
We all know some cops are crooked; they are, in fact, truly not police officers just as baby butchers are not truly doctors nor nurses (they just have medical knowledge.)
If we believe Revelation 12:11 – and we should – we need to fight the good fight. And: the good fight means stopping a murder! The uniform is valuable and to be used correctly. But when it is not, the officer has lost his rights!
Selah.
Like Apostle Paul, we need to pray for boldness and be bold in words and actions! Get involved with every opportunity God gives you! And be like John, the Revelator, the man they couldn’t murder!
Amen and amen!
Ephesians 6:19-20
Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly!
