CERTAIN TIMES?  AM I CERTAIN?
How can I, or anyone in their God-given mind, deservedly say: “Don’t worry! We are living in certain times!”!?

And if so, how could we possibly be right?

Look around.  Are we not living in uncertain times? 

Doesn’t it seem to you that everything is shaky? Does it seem the most important things we need just to survive are out of control: the economy, jobs, guarantees of absolute essentials?  Does it feel that basic necessities one needs just for that survival, not to mention preserving a peaceful and fulfilling life, seem unlikely to be attained?

Conceivably the vast majority of the world population is living in fear and uncertainly.  How can one ever be certain?  After all, in the year of 2020, the world’s first pandemic swept its’ way across all borders, vaulting over oceans?  Or is it the first?  Not only that, the Earth is now experiencing floods, cyclones, tsunamis, volcanic activity, avalanches, famines, and not only rumors of war, but actual war: and experiencing these all at the same time!

Certain times? Really!?

Yes! Certain times!  Uncertain times?  Really? No.  Not at all.  So many times the majority of the world’s populace have got it wrong; friends, completely wrong.  “What?!  How can that be?” says the panicked during this pandemic…

Sit back and think. Actually, meditate is the better option.

What is the typical mindset throughout the world? What are the most common beliefs?  Easy to see!  The most prevailing thoughts of truth are, simply said, wrong…   After all, most attempt to enter through that wide gate.

 

Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

 

What are we talking about here?  A wide gate? A broad road?  What’s the difference between these and a small gate and narrow road? The gates and the roads are paths: two different paths and you must choose only one for all eternity.  There is a way that may seem acceptable to the masses; but the truth is it is not, never has been and never will be.

Selah.

It is the narrow way only when one can have peace and absolute assurance in any situation.  That way is the only way, through Jesus Christ, the Son (yes, Son) of God.

Jesus is intolerant of evil.  Some think not.  Remember, Christ could never be proven wrong.  He never is.  Witness upon witness (and some of the most superb evidences come from His enemies) verify His authenticness.

Although many of us do not take time to sit down and meditate, there are those who do.  More than you think.  Have you personally noticed anyone during the COVID-19 smiling?  Not wearing a mask?  Not wearing gloves in public (Oh my!) I’m one!  Are there people who realize while in this horrific pandemic (and it is) are noticing things like… liquor stores staying open?  Really, do these people sell products which aid in a supreme quality of life?  Absolutely not!  Just the opposite!  Why are they allowed to remain open when patrons (not guests, by the way) are not allowed to sit and eat in a restaurant: eat? — now that’s a necessity!  Why are their businesses closed?

Let me tell you why… again:

 

Matthew 7:13-14

BELOVED:  WE ARE LIVING IN CERTAIN TIMES.
AND:  WE HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED!

Jesus told us.  Jesus showed us.  Jesus proved to us what is certain! Amen and amen. Since Adam we were told we will die physically.  How old were you when you learned of death and disease?  I was six!  Since the Bible times God has told us we are without excuse. The heavens declare the glory of God my friends and glory is a good thing; it is a God-thing. We have been told who is the prince of the power of the air.  Adam rebelled.  satan enticed.  Joseph, with the coat of many colours, ran!  It is a choice to be certain as Heaven and uncertain as Hell…

Selah.

Jesus told of us coming natural disasters in our day.  He talked of famines, floods. Rumors of wars and war itself became and remain ongoing tribulations until the Prince of Peace is worshipped and loved by all in His sight and those who reject Him are cast out of His presence.

Selah.

Christ Jesus knew and announced two kingdoms: His enmity against the kingdom of darkness. Christ and His saints are the victors:

 

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

 

Matthew 24:4-8
Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

 

Luke 21:25-28
“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

 

Signs in the Earth and heavens are prevalent.  If you know nothing about them, stop being ignorant.  The blood moons prophesied should have been observed to every thinking person.  These happened in our century; not that long ago!  The psalmist speaks of the heavens declaring the glory of God and the skies proclaiming the works of His hands.

Biblical prophecy has never erred.  It, as the Bible shall ever be, is infallible.  When one seeks truth: God is found.  It can’t be any other way.  God does not lie.

Keep in mind that satan is the father of lies and truly he has children who are human!  There again, we all should know this.

Remember the two kingdoms?  Along with the father of lies, his children without a doubt enable him even more to propagate his heinous agenda for they hate Jesus Christ as well.  They are not ignorant of this and their teachers include demons.  Did you know that?

 

1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

 

Deceiving demonic spirits are behind false teachers, ravenous wolves and apostates.  We are in the last days..

 

2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

 

Along with the current pandemic of 2020, you see and hear evil most every time you are in the public arena.  Certain times.  But for all of us who love truth and found it; for all of us who want a community of unity in truthful hope; and for all of those who have earnestly sought and found, here is why we can rightfully and righteously declare God is good and the devil cannot conquer nor divide us; the economy cannot crush us and the pandemic cannot poison us:

 

1 John 5:1-5
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.  This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

 

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

 

We are living in certain times no matter what the institutions say, no matter what the economy says, no matter: “What in the world is going on?!”  Align your peace, comfort and protection with Jesus of Nazareth.
