MY DAUGHTER, MICHELLE, gave me an awesome present and God used it to give me another…
I have to tell you: Michelle has always been one of my finest gifts from God. And this is how I came to desire to have her:
When I was a very little, little girl I met my first “Michelle.” Even as a little child myself, I noticed how very pretty this Michelle was. She was the same age, but so very different from me. She had black hair, long and straight. I was very blonde (then). She had dark, dark eyes (mine are blue) and as I looked at her in my very own tender age, I saw her beauty (I had never yet seen anyone like her before.) From that moment forever, as I saw this other little girl’s beauty and first ever heard one the most beautiful of names, I wanted a beautiful little girl of my very own, so beautiful and sweet, when I was all grown up, whom I would name Michelle. (See how, in so many ways, God uses children for His glory!)
A CRITICALLY IMPORTANT NOTE: ABOUT ALL CHILDREN —
Jesus created all children – (even if they’re not allowed to be born, that is, if their mother murders them with the help of other wicked people) for His glory and purpose. Even as babies and children, God uses them for His glory!
LOOK!
Psalm 8:2
Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Yes, God gave my very own Michelle to me. The Michelle I deeply loved and wanted as a little, little girl… God, without a doubt, without a lie, put a love for her in my heart; He put a desire and a need for her to be my daughter in my heart, my body and my spirit long before He gave her to me. Dreams do come true when you ask according to His will!
SO: now I have very shortly set the stage of my very beloved second daughter, or maybe third. Remember in my first book, “JOY STORIES, VOLUME ONE” the story IN HONOR OF JESSE. I don’t know – yet – if my second child, Jesse, is male or female as he (or she) waits for us in our permanent home – Heaven.
AND: now unto the loving, thoughtful gift Michelle bestowed on me…
She gave me two handcrafted CDs specifically and only for me, her precious mother who loves her! Let me tell you a little bit about them. She got the idea for them quite awhile ago and started working on them shortly after Christmas 2015. I was blessed by her with them just this past Christmas season, 2016.
To start with, my Michelle wrote a treasured note, a keepsake note, inside the first CD case. She spoke to me of our many amazing memories over the years. My daughter spoke of her gift as being ‘filled with beautiful and memorable songs,’ – her favorite musical memories we’ve shared together.
Already, it’s a good gift, a really good gift! You want your adult children to keep and cherish amazing memories being raised by a loving parent, one who’s always there for them, always loving them and striving to be constant in their values and righteousness…
Again, she took a long time to create these CDs, a lot of thought, love, organization and care! One CD has nineteen songs, the other, twenty.
The artists are:
Michelle and I enjoyed a lot of hours together watching fun movies and talking about them. There are lessons in everything you hear, see and encounter… And we watched many of them more than once. All these unique and highly talented men and women we enjoyed and loved together added joy, beauty and love to our lives! Praise God for people who choose to present beautiful and clean music and entertainment…
She was very excited to give her gift to me because they were made from pure love. She knew I would absolutely love it! And more because there is a bond in it between her and me that can never be taken away! Alleluia!
So, yes, I rave about this one-of-a-kind gift given to me because I am precious and worthy of love and it was given to me by someone I would willingly and gratefully give my life for (Big deal! I’m going to Heaven no matter how I die!)
PARENTS: it is so important to love your children and know how irreplaceable each and every one is. To share memories and emotions with them and to speak to them of their value that cannot only be named because they are God’s creation and fashioned to give Him glory. Only love can do this…
Selah…
It’s hard to leave my teaching on the importance of loving your sons and daughters — and being loved by them; but this is a free “JOY STORY” and I have other things to do…
NOW FOR THE SECOND GIFT SPOKEN OF IN THIS “JOY STORY” – actually third, the first being my daughter, Michelle, the second being those two precious CDs and the third: the lesson God gave me through Michelle of this one, single gift (she’s given me so very many!)
The first time I listened to one of the CDs I was driving home from my prison ministry. It’s a long drive and I was able to listen to many of the songs; out of curiosity and excitement, I fast-forwarded through some to get a brief idea of more joy on this CD. It was so fun!
As I was preparing for bed that night, God spoke to me in my spirit, explaining more to me than ever before how selfish it would have been of me if I had tried to hold on to my daughter so tight that I crippled her emotionally to the point of her never moving out nor truly maturing into womanhood. (I have always known this truth and never for a minute would I have wanted my son and daughters to live with me always, until physical death do we part. That’s unnatural and my friends, it is unholy.)
God’s plan for mankind was to be fruitful, increase in number (population, of course), and subdue the Earth.
TRUTH:
Genesis 1:31
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
God gave His men and women the desire for each other. Yes, it is not good for man to be alone. Michelle’s soon-to-be husband needs this good woman. He needs her unique personality. She is so funny and feisty (which means ‘having or showing lively aggressiveness.) Michelle has it and shows it! She’s a hoot and a half!
God spoke to me that if parents held their children so tight that they never moved out, lived on their own, they would not be fulfilled in their needs. It is not good for woman to be alone; alone in the sense of not having romantic love (the kind that makes babies!) That is God’s plan. His perfect plan for new beginnings.
Selah…
The Lord spoke to me also of the realities like that of Ma Barker. Read up on her. That’s the kind of evil ‘love” can fashion. That’s why the Bible tells us to rebuke people, yes rebuke…
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
&
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Again: Have nothing to do with such people.
Michelle is a blessing! Truly a blessing I had desired most all of my life: I was so little when I came to desire her as my very own daughter… God, I know and believe, put the desire for a daughter, named Michelle, in my spirit. No weapon formed against my family will prosper, for the Lord has delivered my from every evil attack. Michelle, her gifts of love, are mine and I am hers. Take that devil!
Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FROM THIS “JOY STORY”
Genesis 2:18
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Ephesians 1:3-6
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Acts 17:26
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
Genesis 1:27-28
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number;
John 14:13-14
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
1 Thessalonians 2:13
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
P.S. I JUST HAVE TO SAY ONE MORE THING ABOUT MICHELLE, because it’s hard to stop writing about her. She is so extraordinary!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
