My husband really blesses me!
And last night was just one of those times…
You see, he has two boats that he leaned against the neighbor’s fence. I didn’t like; I saw it as disrespectful. He didn’t or he wouldn’t have done it. Nevertheless, besides believing it was disrespectful, I always was concerned it might weaken the integrity of the fence. Duane was certain it would not.
I wasn’t going to get into a debate about with Duane. Wisdom calls for prayer. So I prayed first and God gave me the perfect countenance to discuss it with him yet again. He saw my point now and willingly laid the boats on our ground rather than against the fence. Thank you Duane!
Here’s one of the things, the many, many things, it means to be a Christian: don’t treat mean people the way they wrongly treat you. Respect them and don’t ever return evil with evil.
1 Peter 2:17
Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
THE GREAT THING about Duane and I showing our neighbor respect (and he does not even necessarily know we did) is that this is the guy and his wife who were hateful about their aggressive and continually barking to who wanted to attack mine. This is the guy who mocked me when I sang about Please, won’t you be my neighbor.
This is the guy I’m praying will become my brother and neighbor in Heaven!
NOTE: Have yourself more fun and read
PLEASE WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR dated October 20th!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
