DON’T GET MAD AT ME…
when I say this: but perhaps, you are going through trying times because you are trying… Just trying.
Maybe you’re trying your best.
Perhaps you truly believe you’re doing everything you can to get the answers…
Maybe you’re letting bad reports affect you and you’re believing what men say!
What’s wrong with that?
Well, everything if you are listening to and believing only people. Why?
If God’s Word is contrary to these people you are doomed to fail! Because God is always right!
Selah.
I frequently hear people say things like this:
“He’s battling cancer.” or
“The doctors say there is no hope!” and very commonly this year of 2022:
“This pandemic has killed ______________ number of people!”
Let’s take the first one.
Firstly, you can’t even breathe without God! He gave you breath! Why in Heaven’s name would you ever battle on your own volition and think that you can battle cancer and beat it on your own, all alone?! Don’t you know there is a God in Heaven watching over you? Wanting you to win victoriously over the god of this world? If you don’t – that’s your problem – your entire problem!
Secondly, when a doctor says “There is no hope!” who is speaking here? A man or women – not God – not the Great Physician who knows everything, who sees everything, who is everywhere and who has created everything good. When anyone ever tells you, “There is no hope!” they have God on the back burner or more likely, they never listen to Him at all! Anything, beloved, contrary to what God says is sin (a word rarely used.)
As far as the pandemic: it hasn’t killed me! It hasn’t and it won’t…
Beloved and crabby,
I am not arrogant.
I am not boasting: not in myself, that is. I am not stupid; contrarily, I have the mind of Christ Jesus:
1 Corinthians 2:14-16
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
No, not all. I boast in God and His finished work. it is finished!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Philippians 2:13-13
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Philippians 4:1;3
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Psalm 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Matthew 8:16
When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Psalm 44:8
In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
