THIS MORNING I HEARD SOME WOMAN ON THE NEWS TALKING OF SOLDIERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES FOR US:
LET’S GET THIS STRAIGHT!….
No child of God lost is life in battle! Children of God are never lost; and as they die they are taken to their Creator… No sir! The man of God did not lose his life — he gave it! And he gave it willingly!
In this day in American history, May 29, 2017, we acknowledge – and many celebrate correctly – some of our heroes on this, our American holiday: Memorial Day. As we Americans have our own holidays, we must remember those true heroes who gave their lives by choice to fight the good fight!
Selah!
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
Romans 5:7
Only the righteous man is willing to die for God and man; willing to die for any man. Only the righteous have the ability to not fear death, satan, Hell. I want to remind you that sinners die in many ways and those who have fallen in battle seeking revenge, hating those of another country or ethnicity, are murderers and are not fighting the good fight.
Selah.
The godly soldier, like Jesus Christ, lays down his life for love of God, man and country – knowing he will be raised from the dead sooner or later… He knows his physical life is only a temporal experience. He knows his spirit and soul are eternal. He has confidence in the day of judgement, driving out fear by the perfect love of God. This righteous soldier willingly risks his physical life for God, for God’s people and for those people who have not been willing to bend their knee to the true and living God, hoping by his sacrifice these will have more time to repent…
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
John 10:17-18
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Mark 8:36
This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:17-18
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 5:6-11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 12:11
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
