Let’s start with this:
Isaiah 55:8-13
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever.”
“Oh, no!” “Oh, no!”
This is exactly what I cried out when I saw Duane’s sandals on my rain shoes!
Selah.
You see, I keep my rain shoes on the top step (lady’s first!) so when I take Tina outside I have one of them there to easily slip on (the right one I have to put on.) These rain shoes are great! I wear them so my socks and tennies don’t get wet. I mean to tell, you after about sixty-three years of living I looked up shoes on the web and found these! They are great!! Did you know that tennis shoes don’t dry out easily? And, the don’t stay as nice if they get damp and/or wet daily.
Anyway: as I said to Duane – “Oh, no!” “Oh, no!” It dawned on me, the light came on (slowly.) “Did you do that on purpose?”
“Yes.”
You want a good laugh? Mess with your wife!
The other day he put one sandal by the side of my rain shoes! I asked him if that was a joke too? “Yup!”
YOU SEE, I made a new SUMMER RULE: if your shoes are in my way to open the rec room door or the kitchen door (opposite of each other and close in range) I will throw them downstairs out of my way. Fair!
We had just talked about this again (this morning, June 21st, 2022, Tuesday! See, I documented it!) And after crying “Oh, no!” “Oh, no!” – which means – you did it again, you stinker! It did dawn on me, he probably did that on purpose!
MEN: Duane was not a stinker! He was absolutely adorable!
Go and be the same!
NOTE: The laugh we both had will last and last!
REMEMBER: Mess with your wife!
Selah!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
