Some things I will not tolerate… Some things I will not compromise…
The Bible is the only Book that is infallible, inerrant, God-breathed. This is the first issue I will never, ever, back down on…
Later down the road, much later, is laundry.
Selah and joy!
Recently Duane gave me his dirty scrubs (Remember? He is an emergency room nurse.) For the first time, after many years, he shoved the pants into the top! Ewe! And he expected me to wash them that way! I lovingly (with no turn of tolerance nor compromise) informed him that he is not allowed to do that. I do the laundry: that is my job always now. And I told him that I can’t stand pulling the top and the bottom apart; won’t do it again.
And: I told him: “If you do this, you will wash, dry, bring up and hang up your scrubs.” Of course, my darling husband had fun ‘mocking’ me and laughing about my attitude; my very right attitude, I must add!!
So, today (May 31st, 2022) I asked him if he kept the tops and bottoms apart before I want down to wash them! Wasn’t I kind and considerate to do that?
Guess what? I won!
And of course, he was ‘mocking’ me again as we discussed it (with no compromise on my part) so I knew right away who’d be washing his scrubs today!
Selah and joy again!
WIVES: don’t get mad… Have fun and don’t let the devil disturb your love contract. That would be your holy covenant marriage between God, your man, and you!
1 Timothy 6:12-16
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
P.S. I’m not afraid to touch his dirty hospital scrubs. I only had to rebuke the fear of covid for three hours long ago– and I should not have had to rebuke fear of any plague at all! Why?
Psalm 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
