BEFORE I HONOR HEROES WITH DARK SKIN,
I absolutely have to address this truth: each one of us came from Adam and Eve, the first man and first woman. Therefore, we all have a connection.
We, the Church, celebrate the beauty of all men.

With great love and admiration I now speak to you about Greg Morris. He was born in 1933 and died far too young in l996. I only knew Mr. Morris from the television series, Mission: Impossible. It was a tremendous show with the genre of good versus evil. In this series, Greg’s character was portrayed as highly intelligent. I found him handsome and precious. Still do!
As you might remember, I was raised in a predominantly white neighborhood. As a child I mainly saw dark people only on television. My travels throughout my school days, neighborhood, grocery store, malls, restaurant and others, gave me little interaction with non-whites. I knew, Beloved, I was really missing out. I have always known without a doubt (even when I ignored God for the first twenty-plus years of my life) that God put certain truths in me that I could not, would not want to deny…
Selah.
One of these truths is the love of black people. I’ve always, always have the love of black skin (and all skin colours.) Black skin is absolutely beautiful. No Christian, nor godly Jewish person, could truly be Christian or Jewish if they hated anyone due to their appearance…
But on to Greg. I also noticed his smile, his voice and his hair. This man was a work of art by the greatest Artist. He portrayed a highly educated man who deeply cared about the good cause. Much of the time his character was dressed in extremely handsome suites and Greg wore them well!
I also was aware, even at an early age, that Greg Morris didn’t play roles such as a drug addict, criminal or anyone with low character. I don’t know, but I love to believe that he was a wonderful and loving man. I do believe it; I just don’t have proof. But it showed me something of what the man, Greg Morris was willing and unwilling to do.
When watching his character I noticed that the racist issues never came up. He would walk into an office, to a government building or other locales with confidence. You never saw him shrink from fear of being disrespected. His character was confidentially at ease. He knew his business and always performed it well.
I consider Greg’s career to be a grand victory for many. He didn’t have to play a creep. I believe Mr. Morris knew his value and expected to be treated appropriately.
I cannot tell you how much I love this man… His influence back in much earlier years showed us a hero, a role model. I’m believing, because he certainly seemed to know his worth, he also knew his worth in the sight of God. I plan to see Greg in Heaven and tell him how much I have always loved him!
Greg Morris took away excuses that you can’t do it! Greg had a successful career in the 1960’s…
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
