God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
As a Christian I honor You in every way and I know Your Word is truth. I thank you for the Bible. I take this time now to pray for Your people, Israel, and my brethren, Israel. Amen.
I pray the Shema daily for Israel:
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
I praise You that Israel is the apple of Your eye as Psalm 17:8 records. I thank you.
Psalm 17 A prayer of David.
Hear me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer—it does not rise from deceitful lips.
Let my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.
Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me,
you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.
Though people tried to bribe me, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent through what your lips have commanded.
My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled.
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings
from the wicked who are out to destroy me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.
They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.
They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.
They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover.
Rise up, Lord, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked.
By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life.
May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.
As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.
Our God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
As King David was a man after Your own heart, he did not have deceitful lips. He asked for vindication and for You to probe his heart; examine him and test him. David was faithful to You, asking You to keep him as the apple of Your eye. I ask you God in Heaven to encourage Your people, Israel, and keep them in remembrance of their great leaders, as King David, to learn from them and encourage them. I ask You to bless Israel for all the wonderful contributions they have given to all of the world.
I praise You and thank You, LORD, Holy One, Israel’s Creator, our King
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
