AND BACK!
All praise, worship, reverence, and glory to God!
Today is Thursday, the day I post my articles usually. Just three days ago, Monday, my husband Duane drove himself to the hospital; not for working in the emergency room – rather as a patient.
He went to the closer hospital. He patiently explained to me why he was going and why he could drive. Chest pains are always a threat to life. When people come into the hospital with them, they are some of the ones triaged the quickest.
Please keep in mind this is another word, triage, which will never be used in Heaven! Why now? Lack of faith. Faith in God and His healing power is what it takes to keep divine health, to receive healing from any physical and mental attack. Also due to some’s stupidity triage is required: too fat, too drunk, too drugged up, hanging around with dangerous abusers…
Certainly my friends, we who are in Christ believe first in God and His power: but He has given us a duty not only to believe Him but live accordingly, righteously. This word addiction people love to use seems to me to give them an excuse… They can’t help it. Yes! They can! And did you know addiction is just another word for devotion! Look it up! In the New Testament original language, Koine Greek, you will read it for yourself! So, people who choose to drink and drug are devoted to that stuff!
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
By the way:
Ecclesiastes 1:9
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
So when people give you that old excuse: “We have more temptations than those in the Old Testament times!” Tell them: “Bunk!”
CRITICAL POINT:
Salvation is not just the forgiveness of sins: it also includes prosperity. Prosperity, in part, is a healthy body and mind.
Selah.
The Scriptures are unshakeable, unbreakable, uncompromisable. I will list seven of them at the end of this Joy Story. Seven is the perfect number.
BACK TO CHEST PAINS:
Monday, close to 2:00 PM, Duane leaves me and drives himself to the hospital. And this is what you should too should do first: (only if you know there is safe time to do so) take The Lord’s Supper.
Duane is an emergency room nurse; one of the finest because he is Christian and regularly prays in the Spirit. He knew he would have time to take The Lord’s Supper. So we did. We know our rights in Christ, but that old serpent wants to shake our faith completely down just as Eve took that forbidden fruit!
My part in this attack? Like Duane, believe God (counted as righteousness) and wait for him to come home. My goal was 5:00 PM. Hospitals are busy and procedures take time. He returned home about 9:00 PM. We had pizza!
But before a late dinner, we had another celebration! One we already knew we had coming. A clean report celebrated in the best of possible ways: we took The Lord’s Supper again!
Every day we do this, not as a must-have-rule, but as a lifestyle: starting our day with glorifying and worshipping the King of kings and Lord of lords. Often I will also throw in a victory denunciation to Satan, the father of lies and not mine! And: because he is not God, I always tell him who I am, because the snake doesn’t know everything! You should do this!
Selah.
We had planned to stay home, have chicken a la king, chocolate cake, and a movie. Instead, we had The Lord’s Supper, The Lord’s Supper, pizza, part of a movie: and as usual, constant love for God, our Redeemer, our Healer. The God who cannot lie tells us:
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
We took The Lord’s Supper three times that day (always at breakfast to start our day out grrrrreat!) We don’t make it a routine habit to have The Lord’s Supper daily – we make it a worship, a thank you, a praise, and a victory!
I’ll soon be sixty-six (this April) and Duane too (in March.) I continue and desire and ask to grow in all good gifts from my Father, wisdom, knowledge, revelation. As I do so, I am now telling Him I’m sorry when I even have to rebuke the fearful and false lies of Satan! I know Satan’s a liar and only lies!
It is well with my soul and Duane’s heart!
P.S. (past sin) I wanted Duane home by 5:00 PM, as I said. I claimed, believed, and rested in the truth that he did not have to stay, even overnight!
NOTE: I encourage you to read about healings told by true Christians! There are plenty, plenty! And: I encourage all of us to memorize and speak healing Scriptures. Have at least three you are always able to proclaim. And beloved: proclaim them out loud. Let Satan and his cronies know Who you believe!
Amen and amen!
SCRIPTURES FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Psalm 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Matthew 8:16
When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
Hebrews 3:14
We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
