and I’m glad!
ONE OF THE VERY FALSE TEACHINGS regarding Christianity is:
if they see the love of God, they will come to Him and become His child…
Not always.
Selah!
I want you to think immediately of Judas Iscariot. Enough said.
This brings me to my point I am making today. A young woman I used to admire and was willing to take counsel from is off my respect list – at least for now. I’m not going to, however, take time to listen to her again unless something comes up that interests me. Why? Because: there are so many wonderful godly men and women (at different ages, different colors, different backgrounds) that I can enjoy, learn from, and admire. My time is to be used effectively.
I won’t be effective trying to learn from hateful and demeaning people no matter their claims…
As for this certain young lady, I’m done. Beloved, anyone who deliberately berates someone because of their age is not the anyone I respect, nor whom I want to emulate.
Selah.
God knows (thankfully, so do I!) He empowers people of all ages, colors, and of either of the two sexes, to do His will when they are His beloved, His son, His daughter.
Romans 12:9-18
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
