DO YOU HAVE PEACE IN THE STORM?

 

THE DATE OF THIS WRITING IS August 27, 2024, a Tuesday.
Monday night and early Tuesday morning we had yet another Minnesota storm. After dinner my husband and I looked out with deep interest our dining room window, our kitchen window, and we opened the front door.

Why?

The skies were a reddish orange. Very pretty!

 

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

 

The winds were mightily strong, howling…  Our beautiful lights in the backyard and the front were being flung to-and-fro. It was beautiful for us; knowing we have covenant rights for protection from God: we had no fear. We pled the blood of Jesus Christ, the only Savior and Lord of the entire world.

So off we went to bed at a later time, happy that our puppy, Tina, didn’t ask to go out again. Yay!

As I got up this day, Tuesday, I decided not to take out the trash because it was raining again heavily. Thunder was booming and lightening was sparking. I didn’t want to get that wet…

AND WHEN I did take the daily trash out, by this time I had thought the rain had stopped. But there was a light, light rain. Curious about the storm I heard the night before, I looked around and saw some large branches in my backyard and driveway; one was on the bed of my husband’s huge truck. No harm to it.

Just as I was about to open the kitchen door and go back inside, I glanced over at the yard next to us. Amazingly (and yet this type of thing has happened many times that I have observed in my lifetime) the tree near the street was struck down, separating this thirty foot tree (approximately) from its roots. Amazing!

This, my friends, is the power of the wind!

But Duane slept through the storm that night and didn’t even hear it after we went to bed; and also as it was blustering in the morning (in the morning when I was awake.) When I went to bed, I too, did not hear it. And whenever we do hear deep storms we plead the blood of Jesus and peacefully go back to sleep.

Did you ever hear of Jesus in the boat? He did the same thing!

For those of you who don’t: have faith in God or He will say to you:  “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”

 

NOTE: if you don’t know this true story; if you don’t know Jesus, you have to. Through the storms of life – and there are many – you are able to have peace in the storm: any storm if you return His love to Him!

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

John 14:23-27
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.  Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

The Great White Throne Judgement?

Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.  And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.  Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

The Judgement Seat of Christ?
2 Corinthians 5:1-10
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.  Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,  because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.  For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.  Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight.  We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.  So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

 

BE PREPARED!
1 Corinthians 4:1-5
This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.  I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

 

 

 

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T LOVE JESUS, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED….

 

Dear God,

I surrender to you now, right now. I am done in trying to invent a working lifestyle without you. I humble myself and call out to You. I’m done with lying, with pretending, and explaining away ungodliness…

 

Romans 1:18-21
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.  For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

 

God in Heaven,

I come to You in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus. I have sinned. I now believe and know that Jesus is fully God, fully Man. He lived a sinless life and took all of my sickness and infirmities in His body. He died on the cross for my sins. I believe and know that He was raised from the dead so I might be saved from Hell and have eternal life in Your Kingdom with you forevermore.

Jesus, I ask you to be my only Lord and Savior. Please forgive me of my sins and wash them away with Your holy blood; never to be remembered again. Please take my sickness or any health issue I have by the stripes You endured for all mankind…

I will now strive to live my life for You to my best ability and with the help of You, Holy Spirit, I strive to seek You, study You and worship You all the days of my life, which are forever, amen!

I denounce Satan and his kingdom now and forevermore!

I also ask to be baptized in You, Holy Spirit, with the evidence of this by praying in other tongues, my heavenly language.

(To receive your heavenly language – take it by faith – just as you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Simply start speaking syllables – do not say anything in your known language/s. It WILL come – just believe. Satan will tell you it is false – never listen to the father of lies. Pray in tongues every day!)

Thank You, God, for forgiving me, cleansing me, healing me in every way, staying with me and praying with me.
