TODAY I AM ONCE AGAIN CELEBRATING!
“And just what are you celebrating today?” you might ask…
A NEW WINDOW!
CHOOSE JOY!
Like me!
You see when our new windows were put in, after a time (I don’t remember how long) I spotted a very truly infinitesimal crack on the main window: the largest window of all. It is a really grand window!
It had to be replaced because, of course, the crack would spread…
My first thought was I didn’t want this fabulous company to lose money over it. I am fair in business trading as I should be: and as a Christian I care about the prosperity of the people I hire or buy things from.
I care.
Selah.
Ryan (from the fabulous Sandstrom Windows company) assured my husband the cost of a new window was covered in overhead. That made me feel better; but there was still the time the workmen took to put in the new crack free window. Such is life – as we all know!
TODAY IS JULY 11, 2022.
And the window is in!
Duane was able to come home early enough before the guys got here. I called him on his way to ask about how I could finish getting the living room drapes down. I couldn’t.
But… I had a great idea as I was speaking to him. Bring me home a Caribou iced vanilla latte! Medium.
THIS IS A DAY TO CELEBRATE (keep in mind – every day is!)
You see, we’ve had too many main projects going on in my opinion: a new garage pad, a new driveway, purchasing new interior doors, working on kitchen cabinets – and – new windows!
The windows only took two (or was it three?) days. But those days were rough! Noisy, inconvenient, and uncomfortable.
NOTE: all the guys working were absolutely a great blessing. They had to do what they had to do. In the beginning Tina (our Terrier) was very barky. I had successful plans on keeping her quiet. One of the guys told me if he had to listen to that all day, he’d go home! I told him I didn’t blame him! When it was all said and done, I asked him how did I do on keeping my dog quiet? He said he never heard her – I was thrilled – and told him: “That’s what I wanted!” A barking dog that goes on and on is nothing but annoying!
SO TODAY I CELEBRATE
again the wonderful people that gave us new and beautiful windows! I celebrate the gifts God has given my husband and me!
PLUS: I enjoyed my Caribou to the nines!
AND WHAT I WANT YOU TO SEE:
attitudes, thankfulness and appreciation are choices!
There were inconveniences. There were messes. There was LOUD pounding AND BANGING…
So what!

SCRIPTURES REGARDING THIS JOY STORY:
Psalm 16:8-11
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 118:22-24
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-19
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
