TAKE COUNSEL FROM anyone who is not willing to die for Christ:
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
This is what the loving and intolerant Apostle Paul proclaimed. And where is he now? With Jesus!
As we celebrate Easter today (my favorite of all holidays) we need to celebrate the words of Christ, every word:
John 19:28-30
Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Each and every day we need to have at the top of our minds God loves us. Jesus came as a baby from a virgin; He was tempted in every way and yet did not sin – by choice; He was hated without reason, seemingly mocked, beaten, crucified. He was separated from His Father. He became sin…
What more do you need?
Selah.
Nothing. Nothing but the blood of Jesus:
Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
So many writings by modern men and women on the subject of Easter… But you have to be careful, you have to be wise. Be like the Bereans Jews and take counsel only from those who you believe are truly God’s children; and even then, when in doubt of their preaching, examine the Scriptures for yourself to see if what they teach is correct:
Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
Get to know (as much as possible to you) the character of the man, the woman, who is feeding your soul.
2 Timothy 2:1-3
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Face the entire truth of Christ. Be willing to die for Him without a blink of hesitation. Allow those to hate Him to walk out of your life if they demand you choose “Him or me!” And: if you’re stupid enough to be left behind from the rapture because you refused to believe God, be willing to get your head cut off! Never take the mark of the beast! God paid for you! He owns you! Don’t disown Him!
Jesus is the living Word:
John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
You have no excuse of ignorance. You have no justification for sin. This Easter and always, I adjure you to love God, love yourself, and others and be willing to overcome Satan’s schemes by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony and do not love your life so much as to shrink from death!
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
