Here is some outstanding counsel!

Duane was standing in front of the stove and I noticed a tiny puddle of buffalo sauce on the floor… Looking all orange and smelling great; I still didn’t want him to step in it and get in on Pewter’s kitchen rug. So I told him, “Stand still. Pick up your left foot. No, your other left foot.” Guys: do you know that man didn’t listen to me! And, on top of that —  he moved! Yes, my honey moved before I could tell him why. The nerve!

I properly, and without angry at all (seriously, and keep listening men) chided (this is gentle correction) him for not listening. And, because of him not taking my wise and helpful counsel, I had to wash Pewter’s rug too that day, the very next day after I had already washed it…  In my loving, helpful, unappreciated demeanor, I informed this man I love (and since 1979!)  “Sometimes you just have to submit to your wife!”

THE LESSON?
Yes, sometimes husbands do need to do what their wives say. After all, we are equal!
