Very, very recently my sweet husband finally purchased ice cleats for the bottom of his boots!
I have highly recommended these gadgets to many for years! And when we’ve had rain in Minnesota in February it is time to be as prepared possible when walking on ice, walking on the sidewalks, crunchy snow, and streets!
Selah!
I like to call these things ‘grippies’! They are extremely excellent for gripping ice: I believe (in my expert opinion for I used them on a paper route for several years in the dark, deep, cold and icy winter!) these grippies prevent dangerous and painful fails greatly to the percentage of ninety-seven times less likely to slip, let alone fall!
Selah!
Upon Duane finally giving in and buying ice cleats I told him he owes me an apology for not getting them long ago…
He takes Tina (our puppy) outside a lot: she’s a Terrier mix and wants to go, go, go and not have you say, ”No!” But on these days of Minnesota rain in the Winter, it’s prudent to slow down outdoor activities as much as possible – and – wear ice cleats.
Duane did truly apologize for not taking my wise suggestion: and he’s even humble enough to say (and say more than once) how great they are. How safe he feels.
Told him so.
HUSBANDS: when your wife is right and you are wrong, admit it. She’ll be thankful she’s not married to a snob!
Jesus also tells us, “I told you so!” We all know we should always listen to Him and follow His lead.
Selah.
John 11:40
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
