that’s what I am.
We’ll get to that.
I was very recently listening to an older interview with Alan Arkin hosted by Dick Cavett. The subject of Germany came up. I recommend you watch this interview. It’s very enlightening. I have always had a profound love for Alan Arkin. Now I know it’s the God-kind of love. I also know that Alan is Jewish.
God’s love for Israel automatically brings out in me a love for every Jewish person. My Lord and Savior is Jewish and I am the seed of Abraham. I love the Jewish people for many reasons: also because God Almighty has told me their value, their struggles and their ability to overcome.
In Alan’s interview of course the subject of hatred came up. Because Alan Arkin is Jewish he is severely hated by Satan and many wicked, ungodly people. The concentration camps in Germany did happen. Another of Satan’s lies and that of his people is that it never did!
Selah.
My heart goes out for every persecuted Jew (and all other ethnics who are persecuted as well.) I’ve read about Casper, Betsy and Corrie Ten Boom. I know somewhat of the attacks they’ve endured as well as some of the miracles God bestowed on them.
I love this Scripture:
Hebrews 1:9
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
The particular book of the Bible is, of course, specifically written to Israel. The Israel I’m speaking of are the Jewish people who honor God and are in covenant with our God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, El Shaddai. Every godly Jewish person has chosen to overcome evil.
NOTE: No one is Christian who hates Israel: who hates anyone. No one.
Selah.
I belong to CUFI, Christians United for Israel, founded by another one of my loves, John Hagee. I love to wear my cross with my Star of David. I am one hundred percent blessed and joyous when someone asks why I wear both of them. Sad to say, most people it seems to me, know nothing or next to nothing about the relationship Israel and the Church have. Please study this if you’re one.
As Alan and Dick spoke of Germany I reminded myself of what I say when I tell people that I have German roots. First, I’d like to remind (or teach) you that not one of us is one hundred percent German, Irish, or anything else: for we all came from one man and woman – Adam and Eve. (Please see Scriptures below to embrace this or learn this, especially if you do not at this time.)
What I always tell myself and others about my having German ancestry (and not that long ago: I have a grandmother from Germany) is this: “I never identify with Hitler. I identify with Bonhoeffer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer!”
According to historical records Dietrich and others tried twice to assassinate Hitler. That’s my kind of man! Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a man of God, a pastor. And, no, he didn’t try to murder Hitler. He tried to assassinate/kill Hitler. For those of you who don’t know the difference between killing and murdering – study it out. Also read Ecclesiastes, chapter three. You might choose to go to the Koine Greek and to the Hebrew languages of the Bible and learn the difference between these two acts: one being justified and righteous and the other being wickedly evil.
Selah.
I AM INTENSE. ARE YOU?
As I watched this interview about a man I’ve always deeply loved even before I was a child of God I treasured everything Alan said and believed him. I pray for Israel daily and thank God for them. I speak out for them, bless them financially as our Bible tells us to do, and tell others (like now) God’s covenant with Israel is an everlasting one.
As I thought about Alan’s and Dick’s conversation, I treasured their reflections deeply and I realized (although I’ve known this for a long time) I am intense.
One of the things I don’t like at church are the ‘meet and greet’ moments; I find it many times phony… If you go to ‘search’ on this site you can read more about it. Search for SQUASHED MOUNTAINS… A FAKE MAN. It’s a good read and it’s especially helpful for those who are trying to decide if they really should attend a church.
Selah.
Beloved, I am intense because I thrive on deep and important conversations. My favorite topic without a doubt is God. I don’t enjoy – at all – superficial talk and superficial people. My friends, I’ve been greeted at churches by people who won’t even look at me. (I’ve decided if/when it happens again I’m going to tell them how to greet!) I’ve had people come and seemingly welcome me to a church service and when they find out I’m only visiting their ‘welcome’ fades fast, almost as fast as they move away from me.
I’ve corrected people during the service for talking and other forms of rudeness. I’ve even had people speak hatefully about me just because I got to move to another section because they were so rudely talking and talking. Didn’t even say anything to them. I was amazed at how hateful they were, I sat in a row before an extremely mean woman. For this you can go to my CORRECTION IS APPLICABLE article. It’s a good and memorable teaching!
No. I don’t like false greetings, false Christians and anything phony. But: this a Joy Story and a good teaching!
I am intense! Intense in my context reflects my attitude of having an extreme degree of love for truth. I am determined to put God first, love myself and others and expose lies and other ungodly behavior. Too many people try to ‘get along’ or ‘be polite’ (a word which is not in the Bible) instead of being bold and truthful and putting God’s ways, His Law, first place in our lives: body, soul and spirt. Amen!
I am intense. Even when I was a teenager (and not following God; I was a sinner) I never wanted to join in with certain people. I didn’t like teenager smokers. I didn’t like people who swore. I very especially disliked those jerks who made fun or were firsthand hateful to kids who were mentally handicapped. It had nothing to do with my father being severely mentally and physically handicapped from the curse of Multiple Sclerosis. I just simply don’t like mean spirited kids and phonies; I don’t like people who aren’t seriously nice.
No: I would never want to hang out with these types and as I said, I wasn’t even a child of God.
I cherish God; His people and the Law. I love them. I love the subject of holiness and I love God first and foremost.
I am intense. I am willing to have anyone walk away from me (including my family) if they expect me to compromise God’s Word.
Beloved: do you really know there are many Scriptures about having nothing to do with certain types of people? This is an important and often overlooked truth. I will educate you now if you don’t know:
Psalm 1
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
Proverbs 22:10
Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.
Romans 16:17-18
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
1 Corinthians 5:13
God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
Ephesians 5:5-7
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.
2 Thessalonians 3:14
Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed.
Titus 3:10-11
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
I love being intense. It gives me motivation to serve God and man and be the best I can be through Christ who strengthens me. I want every one to live long and strong, joyful and thankful, serving and receiving. I don’t want anyone to go to Hell or be miserable now. I want all to have this:
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Peace.
I want people to be real, not phony. I want that perfect love here on Earth now: but that will not be yet. There will be no peace on Earth until the Prince of Peace is worshiped and loved by all in His sight and those who reject Him are cast out of His presence. That’s intense!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY
Jesus is Jewish
Matthew 1:1
This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:
Matthew 1:16
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
Galatians 3:29
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Acts 17:26
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
Ecclesiastes 3:2
a time to kill and a time to heal,
Ecclesiastes 3:8
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Romans 15:25-27
Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord’s people there. For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.
Genesis 17:3-7
Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
Matthew 22:35-40
One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
