LAST NIGHT my husband and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant, La Casita. (This one is in Roseville, Minnesota.)
We have gone there for years. I have gotten in the habit, the good habit, of always telling a manager, when I see one, that this our favorite Mexican restaurant. And truthfully, like last night, I told him the food is always good and the people are always great! I have never had one bad experience there, not even a tiny issue…
Friends: it is good to praise people and bring a smile not only to their faces but emplace one in their hearts. They will know if they are rightfully worth a compliment. Praise and gratitude are a blessing more rare than it should be.
Selah.
I go on to tell a manager that I recommend their restaurant and I tell my friends and acquaintances why.
You know what? I do all of this solely to be kind and loving, with true appreciation; but, the generous and genuine praise is also good for patrons because appreciated employers and employees will have a revigorated stamina to work with — people.
Did you know people, we, are not always easy nor pleasant to be around?
Go and do something good today!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys!
