JESUS LOVES YOU!
And He’s got your back!
SCHOOL JUST STARTED HERE IN MINNESOTA YESTERDAY in my neighborhood… I see the children with backpacks being walked each day to school by an adult.
Selah.
Much different than it was when I attended school: grade school from 1962 to 1969. No backpacks. No parents walking me to school – ever. I walked four blocks to school with or without brothers or friends. Fear never entered my thoughts…
It’s different now.
Why?
More people feared God (unashamedly!) back then…
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
The narrow road: most people don’t follow it. Most people have no awe of God, no reverential fear of Him. And most people are too stupid to have reverential fear or trepidation of Him!
Selah.
That is why children are being walked to school in my neighborhood: and, sad to say, most of the parents around here are not godly parents, not role models, not wise…
ON A BRIGHTER NOTE: a holy note; Jesus watches over His children (they all are!) Have you heard about the golden domes? Better and best yet: have you heard about the Sacrificial Lamb?
For those of you who really care and love children, all children, take comfort in these truths and The Truth, Christ Jesus, King of kings and LORD of lords!

SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Matthew 18:1-6
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Luke 17:1-2
Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
1 Timothy 5:8
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
