As I sat there, I listened to every word the preacher was saying.
How could I not understand my own native language; not the words (individually I understood them) the meaning. I simply just could not comprehend the meaning of them all.

How possibly?!

 

 

AGAIN, ON THIS DAY, OCTOBER 31^ST, 2022, it is a valuable study to think of the power of light and darkness.

God created all things, calling them all good…

Selah.

Think about this! Pause and remind yourselves: there is light and there is darkness. There are two kingdoms and we are all in only one of them. Take the very words of God to heart, soul, spirit. Take no chances on your last day here; think about your eternity because God warns us:

 

Revelation 22:11-15
Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.” “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.  Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

 

 

One Scripture above this tells us the time is near. You need to be prepared daily. Spiritual blindness is a choice. It comes from the decision not to seek out God.

I WAS SPIRITUALLY BLIND
for an extended time in my life. I was not loving God nor paying Him any attention at all. I am endlessly thankful I didn’t die as an unregenerated woman! I was not complete in Christ; I was not a new creation. I was the natural woman: honestly, I was a child of the devil! And: I didn’t even know it. My choice!

Praise God He is long suffering! Praise Him in all things, not for all things… I am thankful, so thankful, to help anyone overcome spiritual blindness as well!

John 8:41-45
You are doing the works of your own father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”  Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!

 

Please listen. I have had a true (and very helpful to many) encounter with spiritual blindness which was revealed to me after I became a child of God.

PLEASE NOTE: it is a biblical fact that there are things are not allowed by God to be understood for those outside of His covenant:

 

2 Corinthians 4:1-6
Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.  Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.  For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

 

And: those who hate Jesus must repent or they will perish!

 

John 8:34-47
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.  I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. AS A YOUNG WOMAN in my twenties, before marriage, before children, I took no time for God as you may have read about me before. Raised in a home with an invalid father, feeling like I never had a father, (he was afflicted when I was six years old) and a mother who became abusive, there was no good talk or teachings about God. His name, used  frequently as a curse word, was the only acknowledgement my mother gave Him…

I am obligated to, and willingly do so, point the finger only at myself when I became accountable to God for my lack of relationship, interest, love, awe, and reverence for Him. Even as a girl of about twelve I was moved to think of Him and love Him. I declined. I wanted to plot my own course… Living many more years without worshipping my now Father, Lord, Savior, Spirit, I am cleansed by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my own testimony. I am Christian.

 

Revelation 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

 

Selah.

But I had an experience before that by which I am able to understand spiritual blindness in an extremely tangible way… It is a blindness that must be overcome! Thank God I did!

I WANT TO HELP YOU
who are unable to understand God, yet want to. And I can!

THE DAY WAS SUNDAY.
The year and month, I have no clue. I only know I was in a church with Duane (something we rarely went to before our son was two years old!) The pastor (don’t even remember him) was offering the Lord’s Supper…

PLEASE LISTEN!
I wanted to be in church; I wanted to learn about God. I wanted to love Him, serve Him.

PLEASE! LISTEN!
A man passed out the elements of the Lord’s Supper. Duane and I were several rows back from the front so I had time to think about what I would do, knowing I was not a Christian. Honestly I sat there for maybe ten minutes or more and struggled in my mind. My spirit was unholy. I listened intently to every word this man said: and I could not understand!! He did not first invite anyone to become God’s child; not even afterwards…

As the elements for the Lord’s Supper were being offered, whatever I said to Duane, he turned to me and said: “Just do what everyone else is doing.”  As I sat there, struggling, considering Duane’s words, I came to a decision. I discounted Duane’s counsel. I did not take the elements; I refused the Lord’s Supper…  I have no doubt God was working on me, knowing of course, I was not worthy. Satan was my father and I didn’t even know it.  I had never thought about the words ‘saint’  and  ‘sinner.’ I should have. I was the latter. I didn’t become a child of God that day; I didn’t come to Christ, submitting, repenting, and asking Him to be my one and only Savior. I didn’t stand in awe of God the Father, Son, Spirit – the Godhead. I don’t know how much later I did…

Beloved, precious people all – God died for you.

WHAT I DID DO
was wonder over and over again: “How could I not understand the pastor?!!” I mean, I was willing to listen and I was. I did not miss one word. He was speaking English; I understood English…

AND YET I COULD NOT
understand! I could not understand! I could not understand what he was saying, what he was talking about. I could understand nothing! I understood that I did not understand!

And I couldn’t understand why I could not understand!

THE ANSWER?
Spiritual blindness. As this woman, unregenerate, I was truly headed for Hell. I was a child of the devil. And I was deceived.

BUT that was my own choice.
I was unwilling to submit to God… at that time. And I didn’t know how! The preacher didn’t help me. I didn’t ask! My fault people; and mine alone!

As I have and continue to relay this story of spiritual blindness I am thankful to help anyone who does not understand the Lord’s Supper, the two baptisms, the Bible as the only book God every breathed, and anything else pertinent to becoming, being, and staying a child of God, Most High:

 

1 Thessalonians 2:13
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

 

Again: the word of God is at work in you who believe!
That was not me at this church meeting. I was so wrong, so sinful not to have chosen to love God long, long before! There is hope for you!

THERE IS HOPE for against spiritual darkness for you who are not apostates, nor reprobates. Be my brother or sister, live with me eternally, and retain peace and joy on this Earth now!

Be like the astounding Apostle Paul:

 

Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Come to Jesus and join the Church.

 

 

PRAY THIS
and believe it, mean what you say, and live what you now believe:

God in Heaven,

I come to You in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus. I have sinned. I now believe and know that Jesus is fully God, fully Man. He lived a sinless life and took all of my sickness and infirmities in His body. He died on the cross for my sins. I believe and know that He was raised from the dead so I might be saved from Hell and have eternal life in Your Kingdom with you forevermore.

Jesus, I ask you to be my only Lord and Savior. Please forgive me of my sins and wash them away with Your holy blood; never to be remembered again. Please take my sickness or any health issue I have by the stripes You endured for all mankind… I will now strive to live my life for You to my best ability and with the help of You, Holy Spirit, I strive to seek You, study You and worship You all the days of my life, which are forever, amen!

I denounce Satan and his kingdom now and forevermore!

I also ask to be baptized in You, Holy Spirit, with the evidence of this by praying in other tongues, my heavenly language.

(To receive your heavenly language – take it by faith – just as you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Simply start speaking syllables – do not say anything in your known language/s. It WILL come – just believe. Satan will tell you it is false – never listen to the father of lies. Pray in tongues every day!)

Thank You, God, for forgiving me, cleansing me, healing me in every way, staying with me and praying with me.
