Duane tells me we now have Italian squirrels! He put out pasta… We named them Mario and Guido! Very appropriate! If you haven’t read my short story in my first book, JOY STORIES, VOLUME ONE, Herbie In The Garage: A Squirrel Tale, please do! It’s a humorous and totally true story about an experience that not everyone has about one of my precious loves: squirrels!
MY HUSBAND JUST WOKE UP thinking he had to go to work… I told him: “It’s seven-thirty… in the morning. Go back to bed.” He was disoriented and I was greatly amused that he was so shook! When his head cleared he was thrilled to go back to bed, saying to me: “I’m glad you have a sense of humor!” True story! Marriage is great! 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness…..
TIP #9 MAKE SOME FUN! Monday is my cleaning day… Inadvertently I HAD not put the clean towels back in the bathroom before Duane showers… BUT: today I did it on purpose! AND WAITED FOR: “Oh no! I don’t have a towel!” I was standing by the door ready with a clean towel… and laughing! I told Duane this was a planned event AND: we both laughed! Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the oppressed…..
TIP #9 JOIN IN YOUR WIFE’S CELEBRATIONS! Duane is making one of my favorite dinners tonight (Yes! Liver & Onions!) As I came into the kitchen (where, thank You, Jesus, he doesn’t want me in the way!) I saw he was letting the butter sit out to soften! I got very excited and said: “Oh, Grasshopper! You are trainable!” Let your light so shine that you appreciate your wife’s fun and loving jokes on you! …..
TODAY IS ONE OF MY CLEANING DAYS… EVER SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL I loved cleaning my bathrooms. Don’t ask me why. I cannot to this day tell you why. I’ve thought about it though. Maybe it’s because I love clean. I hate dirty. TODAY IS ONE OF MY CLEANING DAYS… after which I take a nice break, have a nice lunch, crochet and do things I love to do for fun. Yes! God is into…..
TODAY A GENTLEMAN ASKED ME: “How long have you had that red hair?” (I get many, many compliments on it.) Immediately I joyfully replied: “Ever since my husband brought home the wrong henna!” Now, I am very familiar with Proverbs 16:31: Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life. BUT: personally, I am not willing to be gray yet! LIVE LONG & PROSPER!!!
