Don’t believe me?
Study and learn. And then, hopefully, you too will have the joy of the LORD as I always do!
Whether you believe God or not: He is.
And He tells us repeatedly about His kingdom. And because the God of the Bible is holy, loving and perfect, He knows He must warn all of the perils of the pits of Hell.
Selah.
We are in a war: each and every one of us.
We choose our commanding officer. I choose to put on Christ Jesus. My prayer is that you do so as well.
Romans 13:14
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
LET’S THINK IN BIBLICAL TERMS
always…
Selah.
Today I am speaking about fighting the good fight. The fight for our lives daily and that of our families must be won. Each day we must love and glorify God and hate and rebuke Satan. The families God gave us to nurture and rear in the admonition of the Lord are not to be given to that slimy enemy of our souls; that one who lies to you all the time… He is to be conquered in the name and through the blood of Jesus, the Victor.
Beloved, the battle has been won! Death is the final enemy for those who are not caught up together in the clouds, (for those who don’t like the word rapture) meeting Jesus in the air.
Selah.
Jesus conquered the grave, death, every enemy, and Hell. It is finished!
John 19:28-30
Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
And because we are in a war now which we have already won (which only those who belong to Christ, standing firm until we leave Earth have) we are not without the victory. We are soldiers of the cross…
2 Timothy 2:1-4
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer
NO CIVILIANS?
Yes: no civilians. A civilian is not engaged in a battle.
NOTE:
The innocent (babies, children, those unable to comprehend the gospel) are under God’s care and cannot choose. They are safe in Christ’s hand and go immediately to the Father upon their death or the rapture. In addition, those mentally impaired and unable to choose God or the devil are also safe if they’ve never been able to discern.
Selah.
Every well abled person who has the ability to discern good from evil; every teenager, woman, and man are in a constant battle: the battle between good and evil. And must choose as Joshua said:
Joshua 24:14-15
“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
PLEA FOR ALL WHO IGNORE THE FATHER, SON, AND SPIRIT:
You are in a battle! And if you continue to ignore or hate our true and living God you will appear before the Great White Throne Judgement.
You don’t really want to go there! Friend, if you have fear or doubt as to what happens when you die — listen to God!
Revelation 20:11-15
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
As for me and every child of God, we are at peace during the battle. We have chosen:
Joshua 24:14-15
“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT LIKE THE APOSTLE PAUL:
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
THE RAPTURE IS COMING
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
DEATH: THE LAST ENEMY
1 Corinthians 15:20-24
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
BRING YOUR CHILDREN UP IN THE NURTURE
AND ADMONITION OF THE LORD
Ephesians 6:1-4
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
