WHAT TINA’S TALES ARE:
TINA’S TALES are short stories specifically about our Terrier rescue mix, In addition, I’ll be pleasuring you with stories about other great dogs, or even other fur babies of different species. God has designed so many beautiful ones!
Friends, people with a great ability to love always are enamored by beauty! And dogs are beautiful! They always have a purpose which God has given them: some hunt, some protect, some only and always provide unfaltering companionship! God created them for His pleasure and shares them with us!
And some are too dangerous to live…
Selah.
IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE: animals that kill people are judged… Don’t keep a dangerous dog!
Genesis 9:4-6
“But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. “Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.
Recently as I took Tina out to the back, Charlotte was there…
I’ve not written about her yet. Charlotte is one of my beautiful fur babies too! She is a Cottontail Rabbit: and she loves me! She and her family have learned I never come too close: and, I never, never, let any dog I own get anywhere near her…
Over the years I’ve talked to the bunnies in my yard. When we had Riley and Rocky (female black Pug and male fawn Pug) Charlotte knew I would never let them get too close and she’d stay most of the time… These puppies were only mildly interested in meeting and greeting her.
But then: there’s Tina. Tina Ann Turner, our Terrier mix rescue, is a huntress. She has been created by God to be one. I believe she would kill Charlotte. That’s not going to happen. Every time Tina tries to charge at Charlotte (when she sees Charlotte before I do) and she can’t reach her, I thank God Almighty I always keep a tight, firm hold on Tina’s leash just because of things like this. (There also have been times, few and far between, when a stranger dog violates Tina’s space – HER backyard…
Selah.
As Charlotte was in the backyard on this particular day it was light outside: easy for Tina to see this other type of God’s fur baby. Suddenly, Tina lunged, thankfully and all glory to God, I kept the peace: Charlotte in one piece, that is.
But Charlotte was in a mood.
And: she didn’t want to move; not even a little. She knows it’s just as much her yard as it is Tina’s… Why, in fact, this little bunny beauty wouldn’t budge, even for me. You see, there are many times when I will say to her, “Charlotte, you have to leave. You can come back in about ten minutes.”
But, as I said, Charlotte was in a mood. What to do? I’ve always got an answer (I have the mind of Christ Jesus!) I warned little bunny several times because distracted Tina couldn’t and wouldn’t think of anything else but to get that rabbit…
The answer was for me (and Tina, tightly reined) to walk towards her, slowly. Do you know this bunny was so very defiant that I had to take about five steps?! Defiant and brave. Yes she was. And remember: she trusts me…
Selah.
When Charlotte found I meant business, she conceded to me. As she sweetly and obediently hopped away, I told her: “Mick Jagger.”
Why Mick? Because, I’ve often, often said this name to Tina when she doesn’t get her way!
Friends, I never thought I’d have to tell a bunny rabbit, Mick Jagger!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
