To the child of God honesty always feels good.
NOTE: our faith is not a feeling – it is a decision.
Yesterday I made a phone call requesting information. I did this in a clear and succinct manner. Long ago I was a secretary. I was well adept at listening thoroughly the first time and recording the necessary data for clients, patients, and other people… In this way I saved time for the paying customers/clients and the company which paid me! I was also being respectful, attentive, and caring…
Nowadays most every time I call, I am asked to repeat what I have stated; intelligibly stated. Repeat? Why! The person answering the phone should be capable, ready and willing to listen! As my very beloved and extremely wise role model and heroine, Judge Judith Sheindlin would say, “Put on your listening ears!” There is no wrong in her statement nor mine that you are about to read…
Selah.
Yesterday, yet once again, as I relayed my request to a stranger on the other line of my call, I had to repeat entirely my question. This gets very, very old. It happens all the time! As I had geared up my day with prayer and worship, as this young man requested me to repeat, I paused, and said: “Are you listening now?”
There is no word in the Bible for ‘polite.’ There is no need to ever put on airs… Phonies are easy to spot! There are many things I am done with. And yesterday, I found out it was these false “I’m sorry’s.”
“I’m sorry, will you repeat?” From now on these will no longer be tolerated by me. He was not listening, he was not clarifying… His mind was elsewhere by his free will choice. When someone is getting paid to listen and answer questions that is what I expect. My tone was a surprise to him. I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t wrong.
“Are you listening now?”
Perhaps if we all would man up less liars would go to Hell…
Good point!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FOR THIS JOY STORY:
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
2 Corinthians 5:7-10
For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Proverbs 10:4
Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
Colossians 3:23-25
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
Challenge Liars…
They are in a precarious state!

Ananias and Sapphira Were Infiltrators:
Acts 5:1-6
Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet. Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.
These Scriptures Are For Christians Only:
Colossians 3:9-10
Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
Watch out!
Revelation 21:6-8
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
