SEASONS IN MINNESOTA CAN BE charming or vexing. Case in point: knowing it was very brisk indeed yesterday morning I wore a short winter jacket with a hoodie underneath (I’d rather be too warm than too cold.) But later in the day upon my venturing out again, without stepping outside into the elements to experiment, I chose to wear only the hoodie because the sky looked bright and beautiful.
It was.
And it was still brisk! Very brisk! I chose wrongly! I wasn’t fully aware of the seasonal change in yesterday’s temperature.
With the beautiful seasons here in Minnesota, the weather can not only bring beauty, but true danger: deep rains in which you have to be very wise and patient to drive in; extreme heat can actually be deadly to older people who aren’t taking the necessary precautions… The snow season – winter – beautiful as it is, can be quite the challenge in so many ways too: driving, walking, running…
But now we Minnesotans are in autumn; making the very vibrant array of trees one of the great pleasures to consider their beauty; companioned with that crisp, cool aromatic spice air of fall. (Pumpkin spice is big here in autumn, coming in a variety: cupcakes, lattes, pumpkin bars and my fabulous – pumpkin bread!) Yea for Minnesota! Yea! Yea!
Today is October 8, 2016 and the Lord once again gave me the comparison of Halloween and Christmas. Autumn is a very beautiful (and favored by many) season of the year: and for we Christians, a more beautiful scene is to follow, Christmas, of course!
I am now to the point of not understanding those who still love to celebrate a very dark ‘holiday’ along with later celebrating the brightest of the bright holy day celebration – Christmas!
One only has to look at the masses of satanic decorations to see the glorification, not only of death, but of murder itself. Do you think murder is funny?! If you do, your father is the devil and I pray for your soul and your true repentance! He will turn on you!
Friends, I detest going into any craft store that openly and largely displays bloodied skulls, witches, and definite demonic costumes in which the unaware, ignorant or just plain rebellious people choose buy in order to ‘party’!
BELOVED: that is all of you, death is our final enemy. It has never been a friend to mankind. We experience physical separation from our spirit and soul because Adam sinned, he absolutely rebelled and invited death into this world which became fallen through his definitely and deadly demonic choice…
Selah…
BUT LET’S LOOK AT THE LIGHT! Christmas, my friends, is all about the gift God sent down to Earth, being formed and fashioned through the blessed, loving and lovely woman, Mary. Oh! How I thank God for strong godly women who don’t give a rip about what people think of them when they know they are doing God’s will!
Christmas, my friends, trumps Halloween; just as holiness trumps politeness.
I beg you all to be thinking people: what concord has Christ with Belial? Take a moment to truly open you eyes and see what celebrating death (and destruction!) has brought! Do you have someone in your family, or anyone else you deeply loved, who has been dealt a demonic blow through a horrific death?! Do YOU celebrate that? Same thing!
For me, I choose to look past and away from anything that calls for fiendish fun that incontestably promotes and glorifies the demonic – hatred and Hell, for Hell is a very real place my friends and the LORD God Almighty wants me, wants YOU, to have no part in it.
May God be glorified and satan be damned!
SCRIPTURAL TRUTHS FROM THIS “JOY STORY”:
Ephesians 5:8-11
Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 Corinthians 15:20-26
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
